All works posted to todd-newton.com including fiction, samples of fiction, blog posts, articles, interviews, images, photos, maps, mindmaps, etc. (but mostly the writing items) are subject to copyright and may not be used elsewhere without permission by the author/owner. About the only things free around here are opinions, and you know what they say about those. If you'd like to steal my images, I only ask that you at least do a "Save As" and save me a bit of bandwidth. If you're considering plagiarism, why not just use quotes and link back to me instead?
I'm well aware that ideas cannot be copyrighted, and yet I still have an upcoming projects page. If I were afraid of people stealing my ideas, I'd never use the Internet at all. There's a point at which prudence must take over but, until I hit that point, I'm confident that my ideas are my own and any "story" some would-be thief could assemble wouldn't even be remotely similar to mine own. I believe that, as an author, you can't obsess over these things. This isn't an invitation to steal my ideas, but you're more than welcome to use them for your own inspiration.
I hate spam. I've worked in the Email Marketng industry for years, now, and am well aware of how email works, how spam works, and how frustrating it is to continue receiving unwanted mail. I'm an author, not a marketer, but I also respect your privacy. I will never sell or otherwise give out your email address without your permission, and certainly not to some kind of email marketing program that you did not sign up for. By providing your email address in a contact form or by sending me an email directly, the only thing you're authorizing is for me to email you back directly. If you get the spam, it won't be from me.
I built this place with my own two hands. From the CSS to the PHP to the HTML, I take full responsibility for whatever rendering issues you might enounter. If you could notify me when you do see them, whether by form submission or via email, I would appreciate it. I did this myself because I wanted to have precise control over it and because I wanted this to be my website, not just a website with my name on it.
Also, no, I will not build your website for you. I had enough trouble building this one.
